DISCOVER OUR STORY AND VISION
International Christian Center Athens (ICCA)
We are an English-speaking, Spirit-filled international church in Kifissia, a suburb in northern Athens. International Christian Center Athens is a hub where people encounter God, are equipped for the work of the ministry and are encouraged to fulfill the Great Commission. Currently we gather every Sunday at 10:30 am, beginning with a time of fellowship. We meet in the Electra meeting room of the Domotel Kastri hotel. There is free parking in the hotel parking lot. We are happy to provide ministry for the whole family, and children’s ministry is a value of our church.
Our history
In 2019 the Lord put Athens, Greece in the hearts of Nikolai and Michelle, so they began praying about what His purposes were. They began taking short prayer trips to Athens to pray on the ground and meet the local people. Gradually the Lord gave clarity about His calling to eventually plant an international church in Athens. In 2024 He led them to move to Kifissia, a suburb in northern Athens. The opening service of International Christian Center Athens was on October 6, 2024. The first several months the small congregation would meet in various places until the Lord made a way for the church to gather in a local hotel conference room. We thank the Lord for bringing hungry hearts each week to worship Him together.
Our leaders
Nikolai and Michelle Stefanov
Nikolai is from Bulgaria, and Michelle is from Texas. They met as students at Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas and married in 1991. Since then, they have served together in a variety of ministry roles, primarily in Bulgaria. They have two grown children and two grandchildren.
Nikolai has a passion to see God’s Kingdom advance in every sphere of society and to see leaders operate in their full potential. His experience comes from pastoring, teaching and leading non-profit organizations. In 2017, he founded Global Impact Network, an organization committed to empowering Kingdom leaders through resources, networking, mentoring and equipping.
When Michelle was very young, God put a love in her heart for the nations and compassion for the hurting. As a young bride in 1992, she moved with her husband to Bulgaria where she embraced the Bulgarian people and loved serving the Lord there with Nikolai and their children. She loves to pray and intercede for God to move in the hearts of people to bring about His purposes in their lives.
In 2024 Nikolai and Michelle moved to Athens, Greece to start International Christian Center Athens. God has given them a great love for the people in Greece, and they are eagerly networking with other believers across Greece to see God’s Kingdom come in the lives of the people.
